The Fuji X-T1 is a compact system camera built along traditional SLR lines. Inside it has the same excellent 16.3MP, APS-C format X Trans CMOS II sensor and EXR Processor as the X-E2.
These allow sensitivity to be set in the native range of ISO200-6400, with JPEG-only expansion settings taking it to ISO 100-51,200.
The Nikon Df, on the other hand, is a digital SLR with a design inspired by the Nikon FM series of film SLRs.
It features the same 16.2MP full-frame sensor as the D4, and this, together with the Expeed3 processing engine, enables sensitivity to be set to ISO 100-12,800, with expansion settings pushing it to 50-204,800.

Although it only has an APS-C sized sensor, Fuji's X Trans CMOS II device doesn't require an anti-aliasing filter.
This enables the X-T1 to resolve an impressive amount of detail, especially in raw files, which boast more detail than the Df's raw files throughout the sensitivity range.
Nikon Df
Having a full-frame sensor means that the Df affords lots of control over depth of field.
It also means that its photo receptors are bigger than the X-T1's, which contributes to its phenomenal sensitivity range.
This makes it suitable for shooting in a wide variety of conditions, including very low light.
