These were more expensive when I got mine because they had just started coming out. The price as of today is a great price in my opinion and well worth it. These red dot sights are great, mostly because they are very quick and you will not miss due to parallax errors. Once you zero, at that range the bullet goes where the dot is. That makes it a very fast shooting system once you are set up. It seems to be very rugged and the adjustments are just like any other standard optic. It is easy to set and easy to use. The only problem I ran into is the battery life being very short. In the daytime, you have to use the highest settings to see the dot. If you leave the rheostat on the battery will drain with a quickness. I don't like having to turn it off and on and off and on between shots, but if I don't I won't get much use out of it. And the batteries are kind of expensive for this. That is my only real concern or caution to anyone looking to purchase one of these, but to me it is enough to bust it down to 3 stars rather than 4. Mostly because I need a new battery almost every time I take the gun on a camping trip. Other than that they are great. A couple of other cautions that have nothing to do with the quality of the product. You will need to buy an adapter if you want to mount this on a typical dove tail rail like what is on many .22 long rifles. Mine is a cheap savage .22 and it took me a bit to find the adapters but they are out there. And finally, you can learn some bad habits with this site because of the lack of parallax error. It is fun to shoot fast and you don't have to use good form to hit your target, especially with a light recoil gun!
